What we do
Our purpose is make sure that you pass the NYSTCE. We give you the tools, insights, skill, and most of all, the practice you will need to pass the New York State Teacher Certification Exam. Our coaching courses come with a twist -- they come directly to you, conveniently and effectively online, eliminating the wasteful travel and disruption of traditional courses. Yet, they include lectures in which you will have plenty of opportunity to listen to -and get feedback from - your instructors. They include plenty of practice -- all of it in timed, test-like sessions -- the only way to really insure you are properly studying for the NYSTCE and will be ready to pass the real thing.

Our business history
Your NYSTCE Preparation Course will be delivered by Drs. Arnold and Barbara Raisner, who have been successfully preparing teachers for the NYSTCE since it was totally revamped in 1999. Since then we have prepared over 3,000 teachers for the NYSTCE. The NYC Board of Education has selected CertEd to prepare its provisionally licensed teachers and much-publicized New York City Teaching Fellows for the NYSTCE (LAST, ATS-W, and Elem. Ed. CST. We are the only online test prep selected and recommended by the NYCBOE.

About our staff
A founder of the Center for Professional Performance Enhancement LLC, Arnold D. Raisner, Ph.D, is one of the most well-known and widely-respected educators in New York. Dr. Raisner was District Superintendent of District 28 in New York City and President of the Association of District Superintendents for over 10 years. As a professor of Administration and Supervison, he was Chairman of the Education Department of Long Island University, C.W. Post, the largest education program in the state. He has achieved innumerable honors and distinctions, and appears frequently in the media. For decades he has advised and consulted with the leadership of the New York City and state educational agencies, most recently for several Districts and the Borough President of Queens. As a professor and instructor, he has won the admiration and affection of hundreds, if not thousands of educators-in-training.

Barbara Raisner, Ed.D is a life-long teacher with a specialty in adult reading skills. She has achieved perfect, or near-perfect scores on many professional and post-graduate standardized tests, including the main portions of the NYSTCE. She is known for her ability to show test takers how to excel on standardized examinations.
