Dear CertEd:
Just a quick feedback now that I've received the test results.
When I first started using Certed.com I was failing every time on the practice tests. But after consistent study I started to improve and on my actual test results. I not only passed, but received a perfect score in 4 of the test areas, including the ATS written assignment which I was most worried about.
I would advise people not to underestimate these tests. I overheard a lot of people before the test administration say "it's just common sense." This is wrong. You definitely need preparation in the specific mindsets of the NYSTCE in order to make it.
Thanks again for your help.
Regards, Robert Zabel
PS: Go ahead and post my comments with my name. I would be honored. I think it's a great program.
THE LAST IS ABOUT "THINKING UP TO YOUR CAPABILITIES" - that's what CertEd teaches...
Another teacher, who failed the LAST before - but passed with CertEd - describes the dramatic difference preparing with CertEd made:
The [LAST]course helped me the most in answering reading comprehension questions. Prior to Cert Ed I would rush through questions, but the course showed me the 6 step procedure which helped enormously. I improved my score dramatically in the History and Communication section of the LAST. Most of all this course helped me take a strategic approach. I really felt like I was prepared this time.
In the past I would feel defeated weeks before I even took it. This time I felt confident that I had a game plan! I finally realized that standardized tests do not prove you're not smart, they prove that you don't think up to your capabilities.
Thanks,
Mike
